La Bouganville
A green corner a few steps from the seaLa Bouganville – Holiday home Santa is a lovely apartment with private entrance that occupies the second and last floor of a semi-detached house, it is only 5 minutes walk from the historic center and the beaches of Santa Margherita Ligure. You can spot it from the outside thanks to the large bouganville tree that blooms in summer with its unmistakable fuchsia color, painting a typical whitewashed Ligurian facade, with green shutters, a wooden pergola overlooking a large terrace and three balconies paved in terracotta and majolica. On the back a wonderful garden with aromatic plants and olive trees. The apartment consists of a living area with dining table, double sofa bed and a view of the kitchen. The light never fails here thanks to three large windows illuminating the environment at any time of the day. The kitchen, equipped with every comfort, perfectly synthesizes design and tradition, with LED lights above the hob and a bistro table with marble top as a base for breakfast. The flush door that separates the living area from the night area, opens onto a small hallway that leads to the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The first bedroom is furnished with two single beds plus a rollaway one, a vintage desk, a bespoke bookcase and a large corner wardrobe. In the second bedroom there is a double bed, a large wardrobe with shoe rack and a balcony.
The soft shades of sage green and gray are in all the rooms of the house, treated in every detail, and contrast with the orange tones of the terracotta floor that runs throughout the surface, except in the bathroom. Here small hexagonal slate take this typically Ligurian rock already used in baseboards and in some windowsills of the house. The bathroom, equipped with a washing machine hidden under the sink by a striped cotton curtain, boasts a large shower with garden view, the pride of the whole house: a green corner that smells of lavender and rosemary, with lemon trees and a big orange tree, as well as three beautiful olive trees that with the darkness, illuminated from below, create a magical atmosphere. In the summer evenings the wooden dining table placed on the paved outside, is the ideal place to spend relaxing moments with fireflies as the only companions. A large hammock, two deckchairs and a nice reading corner recreated in the back of the house, complete the usability of the outdoor space.
